TEHRAN - Major General Qasem Suleimani has said the late Imam Khomeini’s pronouncements are echoing throughout the world.

Suleimani, who is the commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, made the remarks in Tehran on Thursday at a ceremony held to commemorate the lives of Hamid Bakeri and Mahdi Bakeri, who were martyred during the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war.
Suleimani said Imam Khomeini had predicted that great developments would take place in the world and now the echo of his statements is being heard around the globe.
The changes that are occurring in the Arab world were inspired by Iran’s Islamic Revolution of 1979, he added.
Suleimani also said that allegiance to the concept of velayat-e faqih (rule of the supreme jurisprudent) will guarantee Iran’s national unity.
